Leapfrog

Leapfrog software is a geology modeling product developed by ARANZ (Applied Research Associates NZ Limited) a research organization formed in 1995 in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Leapfrog’s reputation as a powerful geology modeling tool has grown quickly with strong positive feedback from senior geologists across the globe. It has a reputation for being easy-to-use and a potent modelling tool for a wide range of geology scenarios.

Leapfrog uses FastRBF™ (Radial Basis Functions) to create a ‘minimum energy surface’ through data points in 3D, which results in potent and rapid Geology modeling for ‘noisy’ data that consists of many points with potential for large distances between data points through the model. White paper

According to Aranz, Leapfrog for Geology was developed in partnership with SRK and its customers, following which SRK also partnered in early commercialization and support of the product for mining.
