Surpac raises performance bar

 In Featured

Block modelling is at the heart of the mining software game, dealing with large data and complex algorithms. It impacts many aspects of resource modelling from exploration to resource estimation and production.

Surpac changed the game for mining software in the mid 1990’s when it released a new block modelling tool that was easier to use and made block modelling accessible to a much wider range of professionals. It has been a key factor in Surpac becoming a leader in resource modelling globally. Dassault’s announcement of Surpac v6.7 indicate big improvements in Block Model performance as it takes advantage of multi-core processors. This will be a welcome advance for the many resource modelling professionals that rely on Surpac. It potentially combines intuitive modelling with the performance needed to test many scenarios, leading to better assessment of risk and sensitivity.
